COOL OR TOOL?

Cool or Tool? is a fun, easy-to-use, scenario-based game for crew members aimed at creating better, safer, and more inclusive worksites. There are 20 scenarios and it should take about 2min a day.

Each day users will be presented with a different scenario involving typical worksite encounters – some good, some bad. The goal is to judge the action and correctly decide if the behaviour exhibited is “cool” or if the character at the center of the scene is acting like a “tool.”

These practical scenarios will help users realize what is acceptable worksite behaviour. No one deserves to be uncomfortable or stressed at work due to the unacceptable actions of their colleagues. Enjoy a light-hearted journey into what are usually uncomfortable and tense situations to learn how to create a construction industry that works for everyone.

Employers often underestimate the financial impacts of hazing, harassment, and bullying on the worksite. These negative behaviours cause stress and distraction in the crew that can lead to turnover, lost time to accidents, injury related health care costs, legal actions, rehiring costs, and unproductivity.

*If you are an employer looking to share the app with your crew, download the app and follow the in-app instructions to set up and share it with all your crew members. You’ll be able to follow their participation.
