The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) works with four Regional Construction Associations (NRCA, SICA, VICA and VRCA) to serve more than 10,000 employers in the provinces industrial, commercial, institutional (ICI) construction industry. BCCA’s programs and services include employee benefits (BCCA Employee Benefits), technology tools for bid and project management (BidCentral), and employment programs (Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP)). BCCA advocates on behalf of all employers to ensure British Columbia’s construction sector remains strong.

LNG Canada brings enormous expertise as a major employer and leader in the field of workforce development.LNG Canada has partnered with BCCA to deliver two workforce development programs to BC, and has undertaken substantial research into the subject of the acquisition and retention of tradeswomen in the skilled workforce.  The findings of this research will be contributed to the project, and LNG Canada will provide further expertise from the perspective of an employer as well as a sector leader in workforce safety.

As the leader and coordinator of BC’s skilled trades system, the ITA will provide subject matter expertise to the development of the HR policies and supports, training programs, and exemplary employer engagement campaign.  The focus of the ITA will be to align the project initiatives with its mandate to support women and equity-seeking groups.  ITA will provide expertise in training program develop with an eye to potential integration with program standards.

WorkSafeBC was established by provincial legislation as an agency with the mandate to oversee a no-fault insurance system for the workplace.  We partner with employers and workers in B.C. to promote the mental and physical well being of workers.  Input and expertise to the CWEP project will be provided on a number of levels, but specifically on the development and advancement of the policies that would positively influence safety outcomes and transparency.

The BC Construction Safety Alliance is a not-for-profit association that provides services to over 40,000 construction companies employing over 200,000 workers. We are funded by construction, plus select aggregate and ready-mixed industry who pay for us through a portion of their WorkSafeBC annual assessments.

Through training, resources, consultations and regional events, BCCSA is making safety simpler.

Minerva BC is a charitable, non-profit organization that seeks to elevate the visibility, influence and contribution of women in BC.For more than 20 years, Minerva BC has developed programs to elevate women’s leadership and advance women’s equality. Through these initiatives, Minerva BC has worked with diverse participants including Indigenous and non-Indigenous women, New Canadians and youth.
