The Builders Code Employer Advisors are knowledgeable coaches ready to help BC construction employers navigate developing HR situations on the worksite related to hazing, harassment, and bullying. The Employer Advisor will work with employers and/or site supers and managers, and union business managers in an effort to resolve a situation fairly, quickly, and productively for all parties.  The goal is retention of the tradesperson.

Vancouver Island

Jessi Dhanju

Vancouver Island Employer Advisor - Located in Victoria

Jessi’s role is to be a balanced, fair and conscientious ally to employees and employers alike.
After years as an Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation specialist, Jessi has committed his career to the advancement of equity in the workforce. Jessi holds ADR certificates from the ADR Institute of BC, and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources. He is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

“The first thing I do is listen. I want to know what’s happening and what’s been done about the situation (if anything), from everyone’s perspective. And then we discuss the resolution we’re seeking. Usually common ground emerges quite quickly.”


Diane Jolicoeur

Southern Interior Employer Advisor - Located in Kelowna

Diane is a Kelowna-based certified coach in professional development. Her experience and expertise in human resources includes employee relations, specialized recruitment, career transition and displacement, and workshop development and facilitation on subjects including emotional intelligence in the workplace and stress management. Diane also serves as a coach and mentor to Okanagan College Women in Trades Training and, is President of the International Coach Federation – BC Interior Chapter.

Adeline Huynh

Lower Mainland Employer Advisor - Located in Vancouver

Adeline comes to the Builders Code with over 15 years of leadership in the field. As the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Simon Fraser University, Adeline worked closely with skilled tradespeople, their union representatives and supervisors, and understands firsthand why bullying, hazing, and harassment have no place on the jobsite. She also knows that most employers just want to get it right.

Diane Bourret

Northern BC Employer Advisor - Located in Prince George

As a human resources professional, certified professional coach, and training facilitator of over 20 years, Diane will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to those businesses in the Norther Region looking for assistance. After starting her career in BC’s forest industry with Canfor, Diane was a Supervisor in Human Resources with the City of Prince George for more than a decade. In that role she was responsible for recruitment and employee evaluation as well as developing and facilitating training programs focused on team effectiveness and transformation leadership. Diane is passionate about helping others reach the goals they set for themselves. Her ability to empower teams to make positive changes allows both individuals and organizations to maximize their full potential.
